Whisk, bake… and learn!

Whisk, bake… and learn!

Flour flew, and little hands got busy as Husna School students had their baking session, which was as educational as it was fun. With every scoop and stir, they practised sequencing, teamwork, and applied real-life maths and science, without even opening a textbook. Research highlights how baking activities like mixing and shaping help children improve fine motor skills, such as hand control and coordination, which are important for writing and focus.

Another study by Mississippi State University Extension found that baking strengthens math understanding, like measuring and counting, while boosting vocabulary and problem-solving skills At Husna School, real-world experiences like this help turn everyday moments into lasting learning.
